Day 1 - Loose Waves | Step 1: Curl

Curl your hair using the Defined Curls barrel on a low heat setting, alternating the direction of each curl. Be sure to curl the two pieces of hair framing your face away from the face.

Day 1 - Loose Waves | Step 2: Tap

Lightly tap each curl from root to end using the SinglePass Compact. Be sure not to slide the iron down the hair. This will add a lived-in texture to the curls and give you an overall effortless look.

Finish by lightly raking your fingers through the waves and adding a bit of texturizing spray throughout the hair.

Day 3 - Knotted Up-Do | Step 1: Knot

Building from the last look, add to the tails of the first knot by taking large sections of hair from the sides of your head. Then, tie those two sections together into another knot and pin in place.

Day 3 - Knotted Up-Do | Step 2: Knot & Tie

Continue adding in pieces of hair and tying knots all the way down, similar to the way you would create a french braid. Then, secure the end of the knots with a small elastic. It’s ok if sections of hair become loose – this should be an undone up-do.

Twist the knotted ponytail around the base of your neck to create a low chignon. Secure in place with bobby pins as you twist.
